XGMT 2025
XIM General Management Test (XGMT) is an online entrance test being conducted by XIM University, Bhubaneswar for admission into various Master’s Degree Programs as follows:
- MBA in Business Management (MBA-BM)
- MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA-HRM)
- MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM)
- MBA in Sustainability Management (MBA-SM)
- MBA in Urban Management and Governance (MBA-UMG)

Eligibility
To be able to appear for XGMT 2025, candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (of minimum 3-year duration) in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 55% of marks in aggregate. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2025, can also apply.
Pattern of XGMT 2025
- XGMT 2025 will be a computer-based online test.
- The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes & the medium of the test is English for all the candidates.
- Candidates need to attempt multiple choice questions (MCQs) that will be spread across 4 sections, namely, Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VA & LR), Data Interpretation (DI), Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQ & GA).
- The four sections during the test will appear in random sequence and there will be sectional time limits, which means a candidate must complete a section in a given time. If a candidate finishes any section early, (s)he must wait for the next section to begin and can’t go back to the completed section.
- The type and nature of questions will be like the other prominent entrance tests for management education.
- Marking Pattern; three marks each will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks for unattempted questions.
XGMT 2025 Exam Centers
XGMT 2025 exam will be conducted at the following locations:
- Bangalore
- Bhubaneswar
- Hyderabad
- Kolkata
- Mumbai
- New Delhi
Candidates will get the option of choosing their preferred exam center while filling the online application form. The final allotment of the exam center can be viewed on the admit card. It must be noted that the University has the right to change the exam center anytime according to availability of seats. Candidates should reach their exam centers before the reporting time, with their valid admit cards, without which they won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall.

Yes, you may apply to XIM University’s master’s program even if you are in the final year of Bachelor’s degree program; subject to completing the final part of the degree examinations by June 15, 2025 and expecting your final results by September 30, 2025.
No, there is no upper age limit for the prospective applicants
Work experience is not mandatory to apply for regular MBA / MMS-BF program(s) in XIM University, whereas for executive MBA programs, applicants need to have minimum 3 years of work experience in executive capacity in an organization of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector or 5 years of work experience for the self-employed persons after obtaining the qualifying degree.
You can surely apply for more than one program at XIM University. Go to the login page by clicking here, then you will have to choose the academic programs vide different admission test options in the Program and Test section of the online application form. You can also apply for one program through different admission tests (e.g. XAT, CAT, GMAT, NMAT and/or XGMT). The total application fee will be calculated by the system. You need to use single form for applying to multiple programs and/or applying through multiple tests.

- No, you can’t, if admission test is applicable. In such case, the applicable admission test registration is a prerequisite for applying to the concerned program(s) of XIM University.
- Yes, you can, if admission test is not applicable (NA) for programs under certain categories.
Note: XGMT, which is the own test of XIM University, is not required to pre-register, it (XGMT) can be only opted/ticked against program(s) in the XIM University application form.
XGMT (XIM General Management Test) is the online admission test for MBA, MMS-BF and executive MBA program(s) conducted by XIM University at different locations viz. Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.
You can apply for XGMT by opting for the program(s) through XGMT test option in the Program and Test section of the online application form for admission to various programs of the University. Once any program is chosen vide XGMT, the onetime XGMT Fee (INR) 1400.00 will reflect in the field. There is no separate form for XGMT.
The XGMT test is a multiple choice type online aptitude test, which requires comprehension potential of the candidates in quantitative ability, verbal ability & logical reasoning, data interpretation, general awareness and emotional quotient. XGMT 2024 has been scheduled to be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
If you are a 1st/2nd/3rd position holder at University/College/Institute level, subject to our eligibility criteria, you can apply for MBA-RM / MBA-SM / MBA-UMG / MBA-PPM program only, without any Admission Test e.g. CAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT/XGMT.
No, once you submit the filled application form, editing of data is not possible. However, if the application fee is paid towards the originally submitted form, you may add any new program(s)/admission test(s) in the Program and Test Option page and pay the additional amount as required. This facility can be used only once.
The second add course provision will be only enabled through XGMT 2025.
No, you need not send any hardcopy of the documents/credentials to XIM University, until and unless asked to do so
As a part of the admission process, all shortlisted candidates for MBA/MMS-BF/Executive MBA will have to appear (if held offline) for a Group Discussion (GD) and Writing Ability Test (WAT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI).
The list of candidates shortlisted based on the admission test score will be announced on our website https://www.xim.edu.in, during the first week of February (tentative).
Yes, while filling the online application form you have to choose one city from the list. XIM University conducts interviews in various cities (if held offline), such as Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
Selected candidates will be notified by email (to primary Gmail ID). Also, candidates can check their status (whether selected/waitlisted/not selected) from our website https://www.xim.edu.in.
Candidates who are placed in the waiting list, need to indicate acceptance of the waitlist offer by paying a certain amount as indicated in the offer letter (which will be adjusted with the course fee, if converted, otherwise the full amount will be refunded). Accordingly, the actual waiting list movement will be updated from time to time & will be posted on our website https://www.xim.edu.in.

There may be separate sets of cut-off marks on the XAT/CAT/GMAT/XGMT/NMAT score for the candidates who are permanent residents of the state of Odisha.
No, there is no provision to defer the admission. The conditions for accepting the admission offer will be mentioned in the offer letter.
The application fee is INR 1800/- for the first choice/option, and INR 400/- each for the subsequent options. INR 1400/- will be extra for choosing XGMT. The application fee is non-refundable in nature.

Yes, as our MBA & MMS-BF programs are residential, hostels are compulsory for all the students. For other Post Graduate programs, Executive MBA programs & Bachelor’s degree programs, residential requirements are optional.
There are separate residences for gents and ladies. The mess is managed by a student’s committee and serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. The X-Café provides a variety of fast food to the students who work till late night. The facilities at XIM University include 24-hour internet connectivity through the latest Wi-Fi technology, laser printing and photocopying machines, multi-purpose hall, co-operative store, book club, washing machines, water coolers, geysers, telephones, televisions, uninterrupted power supply, different indoor games space, a campus doctor, nurses, 24×7 ambulance for medical emergency, CCTV surveillance, security people for safety, bank branch and ATM machines etc.
XIM University has two campuses; the 37 years old campus and the new campus. The distance of the old and the new campus from Bhubaneswar railway station is 7 kilometers & 17 kilometers respectively and from Biju Pattnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, it is 10 kilometers & 14 kilometers respectively.

There are more than 140 full-time faculty members in XIM University, apart from a big pool of eminent part-time and visiting faculty from academia and industry.
No, XIM University does not offer any distance education program.
There is a Career Advisory Services cell, which facilitates for the campus recruitment of all students. The placement week is normally around the first week of January, when various companies are invited to recruit the students.
